Post Problems with Stage Two
Alright... I'm on DVD 01 and have done two targets so far. The only thing I have seen sucess in would be the sketches I do tend to get some aspects through that... but when it comes to Textures and so on I'm confused. I know I'm suppose to keep the pen near the and write what I perceive without thinking... but I dont ever really sense anything,.I just get images in my mind, and if I AOL'ED everything ,that's all my session would consist of. With that being said should I for now just describing the images that come into my mind using low-level terms and maybe something will develop from that? Also if I'm on the textures part but feel like writing heavy or short, should I just move down to the dimensions and skip? I have tried just writing any texture, smell Ect down using the "screw it technique" as mentioned in dvd but that doesn't work to well. I'm not getting discouraged though because, even though I'm not doing well I find just doing the steps and stucture fun in itself for some reason.

Writing the stage 2 items draws your awareness closer to the target. Sometimes a target may not have some of the descriptors eg: a billiard ball on a table in a quiet room would have no sound. It would, however, have a texture and a colour and dimensions.

Go down the descriptor list and see if any of the words jump out at you. Do not try to visualize the target.

Thank you. Your comparison makes sense. I don't actually try to visualize the target its more like I'll get a quick flash of something say a table and then the word that comes to mind right after would be rectanglar. I could AOL table however I would usually just put rectanglar or something of that nature and move on thats only providing the image and the word comes quickly... if I hesitate then I make it an AOL for sure. I hope I'm making sense. Maybe I'm getting off to a bad start by doing this? I guess so since I don't get those aspects correct :)
