When doing the S1[X], [A] etc, we normally write "from the top of [X] SSBP; however, is it possible to write "from five widths above [X] SBV" at this point, or is the SSBP required so that the connection is further strengthened?

You're talking about Target Geometry, and yes there are various prompts that you can use:

"From two target diameters north of [1] facing south SSBV"
or
"From two target diameters north of [1] facing south, [x] SBV"

etc

But you really want to run these after completing your standard movements on [x], [a], ...

Thanks, I really wanted to know whether it is a good idea or not to ever bypass the standard movements.

Exclude the term "facing north" (south/east/west)! It does not belong in the movement.

Correct examples:

From 1050 meters north of [x] SSBV

1050 meters north of [x] SSBP

From 1.5 parsecs north of the site SSBV

2 target diameters above [x] SSBV

From the center of the site SSBP

Inside [1] SSBP
