Post Review: RVRobot's 1354/6795
Trying to produce a clean session, structure-wise. As usual I'd appreciate any feedback the community has for me. Note: I believe I made a mistake on the ST by placing the vertical arrow in a different spot from where it was in my S3 of [A].

I still have a lot of work to do on the signal/noise ratio. Not really sure if my antenna is even turning on yet. As I progress through the stages, I am aware that nothing "makes sense" - elements contradict prior ones, and sketches rarely compliment each other. I know the analysis shouldn't be happening mid-session, so I just move along knowing that I'm not consciously responsible for it making sense. ST's at this point are just an exercise in combining the aspects - I have no sensation that they are where they belong.

I remember this phase from the last time I was a newb, and it was a frustrating period. With that said, I am enjoying myself. I'm going to try to increase my session frequency.

Looks pretty good to me. Try probing more on S4s (no AOLs????)

I would recommend moving on to DVD 2 and BLANK PAPER! :)

I concur, you are ready to start LRV2 and start using blank sheets (run a couple more sessions on the templates if you really feel you must, but no more than that, or they will become a crutch and impede your progress).

Additionally:

Regarding your statement "I am aware that nothing 'makes sense'" - if you find yourself thinking (operative word here) this at any point, it should be declared AOL - nothing makes sense.

Signal to noise - don't worry about this at all, and just look at it as work / learning. It sounds as though you are already doing this though, so just keep having fun with it, and that will work to your advantage.

Session frequency - it can be tough sometimes to balance workload and burnout, especially when combined with ambition. On the other hand, a steady pace needs to be maintained to help facilitate the learning process. Averaging 1-2 sessions per day is probably the most I would recommend while following the DVD course.

The actual session looks pretty good, just watch those S3 freehand archetypes We really shouldn't have fully formed shapes (like the triangle) here. Just a peak would suffice (although in this case it was a right-angle that turned into a triangle). And perhaps scan the page just a little more, as you missed the wavy-line archetype (but you did pick up on it later in the session).

I would also suggest keeping your pen on the page at all times - probing for data. In other words, I'd like to see a mark from your pen at the end of each S2 data category, as well as probing marks on your S4 sheets.

The only other thing I'd like to see for now is that you start pushing for more data in both S2 and S4. Probing with your pen will help with this.

Otherwise, carry on...
