RVRobot,

Here is my [4082/6885]. Although I couldn't tell what it was, and would have guessed wrong, I think I'm improving.

Kind regards,
Nobodysfuel.

-Need more 'meat and potatoes' descriptors in the dimensions category in S2
-Sketches are getting a little sloppy
-Bit hard to do a complete analysis as the writing is a bit hard to decipher

Post Re: RVRobot Bootcamp
[6531/2318]

Hi RVRobot,

Here is my [6531/2318]. I would appreciate your comments. I have tried to draw slightly neater and write clearer. I have also tried to add more "meat and potatoes" dimensions.

I was quite disappointed by the results, though. There are 2 sessions here: main session and target purpose.

The following is my Data Summary:

At the target site is a structure and a place which makes me feel pleased and happy. There are people there who feel pleased, happy, satisfied, and thankful. The structure and place are picturesque and contain a cross-hair pattern. The structure and place has 2 purposes and is almost like 2 things in 1. The concept of “envelope” is also relevant here.

There is another structure at the target site, which is a thing. There is also an upwards action occurring nearby. The structure is like a balloon party and also like a piñata. The structure makes me feel satisfied. There are people present and they feel happy. The upward motion is elevated, lofty, fun, and has a layered meaning. Concepts related to this structure are autumn, September, and leaves.
At the target site is another structure, which is also a tool. The structure hammers down, performs tasks, is grated, and has a fast potential.

Target Purpose

At the target purpose site is a structure, which is a thing and object which makes me feel agitated. There is also movement at the site. The movement and structure is an idea or relationship between objects, involving avoiding contact or swerving. Something is being observed and it is like dancing around a topic.

At the target purpose site is also a structure, which is a thing and object making me feel relief. The structure is valve-like and is a regulator. Something is pressed down and a baffle is involved. Something is throttled, measured, and portioned.

Also at the target purpose site is a structure, which is also a thing and device, which makes me feel agitated, uncomfortable, and upset. Falling motion is involved. The situation is a runaway event and a reaction. The situation is also a chain of events and a critical mass. The miscellaneous concept of “spare car” is also mentioned.

S3 freehand is good, but the S3 analytical sketch is a problem. Embellishment is killing it.

Thanks RVRobot!

I find that when I do "bare bones" S3 analytical sketches, they are so bare that I can't recognize anything in them and they are basically unhelpful at that level of bareness.

Do you have any suggestions for striking a balance?

Nobodysfuel.

Strive for accuracy first, detail second, even if your sketches look somewhat archetypical. Detail will come naturally with practice. If you rush the process you will sabotage your results.

Thanks RVRobot,

I guess I will just keep doing bare-bones drawing, tagging elements, and then doing sub-sessions until I see something I recognize.

Take care,
Nobodysfuel.

Error. Never write on the back side of session work. Never.

Yep this session was pretty much a non-starter.

Use blank white paper as instructed at the beginning of DVD1. On top of that, please give S3 its own sheet of paper. Use a black pen. Don't label your categories in S2. Put your aspect labels in brackets [x] [a] etc

Fix those errors and post again. I'll have more instructions for you at that point.

Looking for feedback that my structure is consistent and improving. Target is a skydiver jumping out of airplane. Session was done blind of course. Thank you in advance for your time and effort.

P1:
-No AOL? Session is suspect.
-Do not put the TRN in brackets here. Write it just like on the templates:

1234
5678

P5:
-Underline your headers in S4
-You can proceed a little further down the page

Other than that things look pretty good! Some general comments:
-You can space out your paper a bit more, no need to keep things so cramped
-Be careful about embellishments in your S3 Analytical Sketches

Post Re: RVRobot Bootcamp Feedback for 6531-2318 please
I've just finished Disk 1 and using some of your targets for the practice that was recommended before starting Disk 2. I incorporated some of the changes recommended for my posted Target 4 from Disk 1 like no commas between descriptors and tried to increase my descriptor list. I'm curious to know if this heat wave is affecting my "temperature" descriptors...most are hot, humid, warm, etc. Felt really deflated after looking at the target...I know...practice, practice, practice...so please check it out and I welcome the feedback.

Thanks,
Jessie :)

Excellent job! Move on to the next disc.

Only comment - do not label things on the S3 Analytical Sketch unless they can not be drawn (densities, etc)

Thank you for your comments, RVRobot! Looking forward to starting Disk 2.

What about the temperature question I had? Do you think it was just because it's so blasted hot and humid here in KY when I did the session? Kinda like color distraction??? Just curious.

Jessie :)

Maybe it was hot and humid at the target site? I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Here is my session for [1030/1455]. Please provide feedback at your convenience. Still feeling a little uncertainty when not using the printed templates. Almost forgot the AIs and EIs on page 5. More practice...I know! hahaha

Thanks in advance for the feedback!

Jessie :)

You did a great job! Obviously your data is bang on target.

Your S3 analytical sketches however need improvement. Tips:

-When you have 'long' in the dimensions, draw something that is long. Let your hand guide you to draw something that is long.
-Don't write down words on your sketches unless they can not be drawn on the page (heavy, deep, etc)
-Make sure you are copying your sketches exactly onto the ST.
-Scale can be changed on the ST
-If you have the same thing in two sketches they can be overlapped/combined on the ST. This will help you identify how to snap things together
-Label your descriptors on the ST - AI, EI, T, I, AOL/s

Thanks for the feedback. I do have trouble with my S3 sketches....I have never been artistic and feeling very challenged in this area. I'm hoping the recommended book from the blog area will help me in addition to your recommendations.

Didn't know how to labels the Ts and Is on the site template...now I do.

Thanks again!

Jessie :)

-Every aspect of the freehand must have a label [x],[a],[b], etc
-Label your S4 headings properly: S D AI EI T I AOL AOL/S
-Generally you need to move faster in all stages. It appears that AOL is catching up with you and undermining your session.

Keep it up!

Yes:

-Omit the arrows on the ST
-Label all of the T, I, AI, EI, AOL/S descriptors on the ST (don't underline words)

That's good enough for now. More comments after your next session.

I'd like to add that your S3 Freehand Sketch looks more like a Left-Brain-Running-the-Show-Sit-Down-and-Shut-Up-You-Hand-Who-Do-You-Think-You-Are Sketch than a free hand sketch. Until you learn to let the hand do the sketch without "help" from your left brain you won't achieve the results you're capable of. Relax, let go, let the hand do its job. Review the DVD1 section that covers making the freehand sketch.

Thanks a lot for that suggestion.I indeed, tend to get a lot confused while doing Free-hand sketch, and am still struggling to relax completely.

Would it be a good idea to keep my eyes away from the paper while doing the sketch ,so that the "left-brain" doesn`t even have the slightest clue what my hand is producing, and thus it will have no option but to stop interfering with my sketch.
Just a quick thought which came in my mind!
