Post scattered pieces
If I were to look for a plane crash spread out in a large area, would it be possible to look down on a site to find pieces by getting a site outline?

From 2 target diameter above [ ] the site should be visible

Or maybe higher to get surrounding landmarks? I have used ssbv before but never thought to get a site outline

Post Re: scattered pieces
Yes, I can look at most recognizable features and such, I could do a session on each of most recognizable features to the north, north east, north west etc... What could be faster and handy to look for missing airplane pieces is the shape of the crash site, could be a cone shape if plane came in fast and shallow, to a more circular site if it was a nose dive. I know there was a crash a few years ago (midair collision) and they had a hard time locating some of the pieces where if I could get the boundary (maybe that's the word to use) of the site some pieces far away from the rest of the site might be easier to find. A boundary image laid over the crash site would help investigators look in the right direction.

Alternat scenario would like looking at property lines to distinguish a residence if all th houses look similar. Does "the shape of the site" sound like a proper cue?
