Post RV a compass heading?
Has viewing compass headings to a site (from photographs of known feature/structure) been tried?

I have pictures of the two most recognizable features for miles around, (one of the pictures from the structure in the site template is 12.3 km from geofix location so you can imagine how much nothing recognizable around here) and there are literarily 120 square miles of jungle and beaver dams around, the paths and trails on google earth and my high resolution map software do not exist in real life, and creeks and beaverdams that have altered the landscape from the last satellite image.

One method is discussed here:

It doesn't work for lone viewers, but it has proved that the information can be accessed by RV. If your objective is to locate a point on the surface of the planet, there are other RV strategies that work better.

The path to perfection has only two rules:
Rule 1: Begin. Rule 2: Continue.

Lessons from the Petting Zoo:
Lesson 27. Puppies that spend all day yapping never really learn to hunt.
