Post versus, vs.
Wondering what the viability is of using the terms "versus" and/or "vs." in a cue. For example: next deadly conflict / U.S. vs. ISIS (or North Korea or other similar).

Have looked up the term using the search function, however, there does not seem to be much discussion on the viability of the two terms mentioned above.

Thanks for any response.

Your example cue needs restructuring and may contain vague/problematic search terms. But as for your specific question, I would start by replacing vs. with /

Cut out the redundancy and keep it as concise as possible.

'vs./versus' notwithstanding, your proposed cue setup is nonsensical -- subject is disconcatenated from its FUBAR qualifier.

Well, appreciate the feedback, but, the question was not about the cue words or the cue formation.

The question is about the term "vs." and/or "versus" and whether or not it/they are viable terms to use in a cue.

Personally, I have never employed 'versus.' I've only used 'vs.' (sports betting cues). Ideationally-cum-Matrix-pattern, they are probably equivalent.

Thank you sir,

Okay,

U.S. vs. North Korea / next deadly military battle

( I kind of like the word “conflict” even thought it does have many meanings, the first of which is: “military war: warfare between opposing forces, especially a prolonged and bitter but sporadic struggle.”)

That's certainly a cleaned up cue. But, I have no idea if it's kosher as a Matrix search term.
