 S2 Dimensions to S3 sketches
My understanding is that there is a running 20% error rate in S2. This means that if I list 5 dimensions, one of them is statistically incorrect. Since I must use ALL the S2 dimension descriptors, one wrong word can really mess things up.
1. If I do not feel that a S2 dimension should be present in my S3 analytical sketch can I omit it?
2. Am I expecting too much 'visual' data? From the 1 or 2 pro sessions I've seen, the S3 analytical sketches have very basic geometric shapes and movements... very clean sketches of the overall shape and structure. Is this what we want?

Personally, I wouldn't omit it.
While it may influence the Site Template somewhat, your S4 information should correct some of the random errors. If you carry through to an S6 any error should be gone.
The protocols are designed to be self correcting.

Understood, but I am at the 8-month mark and getting quite frustrated at my success rate. I guess another bump in the learning curve. Most of us do not have access to the Advanced seminars (money or distance) and so we do not have the S5/6 protocols. I am currently looking in detail at the protocols to see if any little mistake I make is throwing me off target.

There are self-correcting mechanisms built into the protocols. Therefore, the only thing that could be 'messed up' -- is you. Tell me what you need help with, and I will assist you - here, in public, Mr. Bot).
Carry on.
