ForEx Issues with 24 hour trading
The FOREX markets are traded 24 hours a day which presents a number of tricky questions.
If you run a cue for say tomorrow's trading of the EURUSD, when does tomorrow actually start? Does the Matrix interpret tomorrow starting at:
A. Midnight in your own time zone.
B. Midnight in the time zone where your brokerage is physically located
C. Midnight at one of the FOREX trading centers (NY, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Chicago) dependent on the pair traded
D. Some other time.

Re: ForEx Issues with 24 hour trading
I think this is an extremely interesting question to go unanswered. Inquiring goats want to know: what's the current thinking on this?

It appears this is one of those trial and error scientific analysis subjects.
I think the easiest way to start to uncover this would be to use the GBP/CHF or USD/CAD currency pair (nearly the same time zone) and start running sessions noting the times and run a statistical analysis after about 50-100 sessions.

Re: ForEx Issues with 24 hour trading
It was easier to determine near-term to statistical significance than to force the square peg of tomorrow through the round hole of ForEx.

Re: ForEx Issues with 24 hour trading
On his FM disk, Financial Management, ----- addresses the "tomorrow" term at 1:18:47. If you are trading in the markets and don't yet have this disk you have missed a major investment opportunity. I do wish he would have gone into more detail in some areas and I don't think I have recognized him on this forum.

Re: ForEx Issues with 24 hour trading
Tomorrow is referenced to futures, not forex.
