Good primer to know what you are getting into before you start using the FM DVD for fun and profit.

guys in the business like me use various parts of these 'handbooks':

http://www.amazon.com/Technical-Analysis-Financial-Markets-Comprehensive/dp/0735200661/ref=sr_1_4?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1301500620&sr=1-4

http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Guide-Futures-Markets-Fundamental/dp/0471893765/ref=sr_1_6?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1301500682&sr=1-6

http://www.amazon.com/Eurodollar-Futures-Handbook-McGraw-Hill-Investment/dp/0071418555/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1301500780&sr=8-1-spell

plus this book is handed out to many training classes at investment banks for folks coming out of undergrad and business school:

http://www.amazon.com/Mastering-Financial-Calculations-step-step/dp/0273704443/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1301500949&sr=1-2

these authors have written several books so you can tailor according to your needs.

to avoid confusion: i am in the business of financial markets, not RV financial markets....yet. the above mentioned books will get you started in the right direction for markets, not RV obviously.

I've added the 4th book to my wishlist. Thanks for the recommendation.

ChrisPennsylvania pointed me in the direction of the following book.

http://www.amazon.com/Options-Structured-Products-Wiley-Finance/dp/0470011459/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1341799098&sr=1-1&keywords=fx+options+and+structured+products

Awesome book but way over the head of most anyone who doesn't have an engineering or mathematics background. You will likely need a primer on Stochastic Calculus and Probability Theory before getting all you can out of it.

Easiest reading Financial textbook I have ever come across, and believe me I have suffered through a lot of crap. There are parts where the editor droned off and read like a 3rd country nationals English book report (bad) but those are few and far between.

Kosmo, I would also recommend the following books which may be considered primers for the one listed above.

http://www.amazon.com/Financial-Calculu ... ter+rennie

http://www.amazon.com/Introduction-Math ... pd_sim_b_2

I have studied these books (in theory) in some of my Math Finance classes. And as a final note, I will limit these types of book recommendations on here because they are not directly related to learning RV.
