Post 12 million pages of declassified CIA files are now available
Just before the Trump inauguration (remembering there are no coincidences), the CIA announced the release of additional documents on the agency's study of psychic and paranormal phenomenon and that these and previous records are now available on the Internet through CREST - CIA REcords Search Tool (which will also make yer teeth shiny):
https://www.cia.gov/library/readingroom/collection/crest-25-year-program-archive

As a result, there are a number of articles out there in the media highlighting various shiny-object parts of the release:

12 million pages of declassified CIA files are now available online for everyone to view

It is interesting how the media in the USA cannot tear itself away from the creation of fake news long enough to cover an interesting historical document release by an agency of the Government. It is also interesting how the international media is fixated upon the Uri Geller content, which is (a) not actually new stuff and (b) not the most interesting stuff. But, Mr Geller is a "shiny object" and is going to get the hotest spotlight. And, of course, there are the gratuitous references to "The X Files" and that "Goats" movie.

Most of the STAR GATE materials I have seen in media reports are also not actually new and refer to things that have already been published in books as well as the CIA archive available from Paul Smith.

PS: My new "Washington story"; on a recent flight to Denver I sat next to a guy who works for NGIA and had worked a number of defense technology programs. We had a great conversation. This guy is working for NGIA and was at the going-away reception for James R Clapper (Director of National Intelligence) the night before. Turns out the guy on the other side of me worked 35 years in the Pentagon and on The Hill funding many of the programs this guy and I worked on, and also personally knows Clapper. In the course of their "talking past me" (Hey, I'm in the center seat!), turns out the first guy once was a US Army captain working for General Bert "Spoon-Bender" Stubblebine (his words) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Stubblebine.

Bert passed away, yesterday.

When he was my commander, many of his acolytes (like me) loved him and would have walked off a bridge to show our loyalty to him and our dedication to all that he strove for, and to return his loyalty to those of us under his command.

Later in life, he and I did not see eye to eye (as the saying goes -- vs. 'mind to mind'). But, I'll bet that the general and I can manage to fix that, somewhere in time-space.

Goodbye, Sir. I salute you, once again. I won't let you down...

Ed

Btw, remind me sometime to tell you about the CENTER LANE-SUN STREAK shredders that were literally burned up, under panic-cum-CYA-IG at the doorstep skies. You, 'the FOIA public' missed out on all of the good shreds...

Hint: DIA (by charter) is an analytical agency. It has no 'official' business in the collection arena.

Doom

P.S. to redgatortrv: Escape those 'Beltway Blues' whilst ye are still able -- get out ASAP, my friend.
