Re: Best way to teach kids?
Last year, I taught two 11 year old kids who's English was their second language. I didn't tell them what it was and no DVD. Over a couple days, I just went over the word descriptor list for words they didn't know and quiz them for examples, and to memorize and recite the S2 sensory perceptions, and ideogram/body contact with the site lesson. Just as Ed says, just teach them the protocols, and then upon feedback, they realize how to do it.
Before I gave them the feedback, I asked them how they felt about heights and roller coasters, then showed them the feedback, and pointed at their feelings they wrote regarding the riders also. They liked it when they saw coordinating data with each other.
I have video of their reaction to the feedback, and I interviewed them "What would you say is someone asked what we did today?" and they said "
Amazing things... Things
you don't know..." (posing like the thinking man deep in thought)
