I do not yet have a precise fix on the hijacker (closing in now to around 5 miles), but I know that he did not make it out alive. If the terminal site is accessible, I'll go in, myself -- when you get to be my age, nothing is worth doing unless it's fun. (I'd sell framed pieces of his parachute for a thousand bucks a shot).

Maybe he went down singing this tune that all of us then-teenage infantry soldiers sang whilst going through jump school (me: December 1967), on our way to those 20th century wars:

Later, I will track down his mother and father's location(s), to help establish his identity.

(It would be neat to keep his skull on my mantle, just to have someone fun to talk to in my twilight years).

Stay tuned...

Major Doom

Done. Preliminary terrain analysis indicates that site access is not necessarily a 'walk in the park' -- but the site is accessible.

Heading out in late August for that skull and those souvenirs!

Search team public monitoring via real-time satellite tracking and (delayed) on-site video.
